Getting the Skinny at Insurance Forum

Regulators and insurance professionals from across the country are converging upon the Big City this morning to attend the 18th Annual Insurance Forum, sponsored each year by JVP Partners, Inc., and hosted this time by the Chicago firm of Sidley Austin LLP.

The Forum provides valuable updates and insights about insurance regulatory compliance. On the agenda today are sessions about corporate governance, ORSA, and long term care. Another topic for discussion will be the pet issue being featured at most of the leading conferences this year—Predictive Analytics. I’m especially looking forward to the session on Election 2014 and what it means to insurance, to be presented by the inimitable Dan Cotter, as well as the discussion about new regulatory issues from our neighbor to the north, Wisconsin Commissioner of Insurance Ted Nickel.

I’ll be in the front row, clicking away so I can bring you all some Straight Talk from this event. Check back later for more details.
